Tottenham are closing in on Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles.

The Daily Star says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is lining up a £1m bid for Lascelles, 18.

Spurs have monitored the England Under-19 defender for the last 18 months and he has also been watched by Arsenal and Chelsea.

Forest rejected an initial £2m offer from the Gunners last season but are bracing themselves for more approaches this summer.
