Tottenham will have to move fast to land Raheem Adewole Lawal.

Lawal, of Spanish Segunda B Atletico Baleares, was linked with Tottenham during the January transfer market.

But Real Betis are now regarded as favourites for the midfielder, with a source informing allnigeriasoccer.com: "I think all the stories linking him (Lawal) to various English clubs were media hype because there has not been anything for him in that angle.

"Rather, interests have come from clubs in Spain and the most concrete is from Betis. Last week, a line of communication was opened between both parties and we'll see how things go.

"However, I must add that in this business, nothing is taken for granted until papers are signed. Last year, the Real Madrid B team, who play in the second division, showed interest in him, but nothing came out of it.

"This time around, hopefully the Betis move will see the light of day. We'll see............"
