Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has no regrets leaving Olympique Lyon in the summer.

Lloris is now Spurs' outright No1 after a difficult start to his Premier League career.

"Initially, it was Tottenham who wanted me. I had been four years with Lyon, I was committed, but I needed something new. There was not much clarity about the future from OL especially at the economic level," said Lloris.

"So it was a good time to leave. It happened at the last moment, but I was talking with Tottenham for several weeks or months."
