Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris will captain France for tonight's friendly with Russia at the Stade de France, their first at the stadium since terrorist attacks marred their friendly with Germany in November last year.
"It's important to go back to the Stade de France to play against Russia and, of course, to enjoy it with our fans and hopefully have a great performance," Lloris told Spurs TV.
"We need to look forward and try to forget what happened in the last few months.
"All the French people are excited for this period and expecting to see a great French national team.
"The feeling is not easy for the French players but at the same time, we're all excited because the Euros are coming up soon."
