Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has urged manager Harry Redknapp to buy big.
Gomes agrees with his manager's assessment that Spurs are a couple of players away from being serious Premier League contenders.
"You need experienced players, those who know how to win the Premier League," said the Brazilian.
"I think we need players like that, quality. We have quality players already, but you need players to make an impact on the team, like Van der Vaart has."
