Tottenham keeper Cudicini in good spirits after surgery

Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is in good spirits after undergoing surgery following his motorcycle accident.

The 36-year-old had an operation on his right wrist and pelvis following his motorbike accident on Thursday.

Spurs report the surgery has been successful and the Italian is now expected to be released from hospital soon.

Head of medical services Wayne Diesel told the club's official website: "Both specialists are extremely pleased with the result and expect a good recovery.

"Carlo is in a lot less discomfort than before the operations and is in good spirits.

"The splint on his left wrist has been removed and he now has full use of this wrist.

"He will remain in hospital for a few more days and then be on forearm crutches for about 12 weeks."
