Tottenham keeper Cudicini: Bale runs and runs and runs!

Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini hailed the influence of Gareth Bale in last night's victory over Inter Milan.

The Italian had to step in for the suspended Heurelho Gomes and was only beaten by Samuel Eto'o in the 3-1 victory.

"My save on Wesley Sneijder was important so we could go into the break 1-0 up," he told Sky Italia television.

"Then the team put in a good performance in the second half and the third goal helped us relax.

"Bale had already caused problems for Douglas Maicon at San Siro. He is remarkable, as he never stops.

"He runs and runs and runs, with remarkable pace and great technique, therefore he can trouble anyone who is playing at right-back.

"Bale also crosses formidably, as at the end of the day many goals come from him. This victory certainly gives us confidence and now the home game with Werder Bremen will be crucial."
