Tottenham are looking to avoid another raid from Real Madrid by securing Paulinho to a long-term contract.
The Brazilian midfielder has been impressive since his £17million summer move from Corinthians and it is believed that Spurs are already looking to tie him down further than his current deal which expires in 2017.
The Daily Star suggest that Tottenham are prepared to extend Paulinho's deal by a further 12 months and offer him a raise to increase the £3.6million he already earns yearly.
