German striker Stefan Kiessling is being lined up by Tottenham as a potential replacement for Dimitar Berbatov.
The People says Kiessling, 24, who replaced Berbatov at Bayer Leverkusen, was watched by a top Spurs spy against Galatasaray in the UEFA Cup last week.
Leverkusen would want about £5million for Kiessling - once a target for Arsenal.
He has told friends he would like a move to the Premier League ... preferably with Liverpool.
