Tottenham are set to join the battle for Wigan defender Paul Scharner.
The Austria international, 29, is under contract at the JJB Stadium, but said: "Tottenham, Everton and Fulham are interested in me, like Hertha Berlin and Hamburg. But I would prefer to stay in England."
