According to reports, Tottenham have intensified their interest in Cameroon international Alain Nkong, with Juande Ramos said to be taking a personal interest in the African Cup of Nations standout.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has already admitted that he would be keen on a move to the Premiership, and he will have been happy to get word of reports that the Spurs' Spanish coach is looking to tie up a deal for him as soon as the summer transfer window opens.
"Since the African Nations Cup I have received calls from more agents than I've ever had in my life," said Nkong, who currently is employed by Mexican club Atlante.
"One of them was from Tottenham, but my experiences have made me distrustful.
"That's why I don't employ an agent because I have never found the right person.
"I will listen to concrete offers on my own. If there really is something, then I will go."
