Tottenham hope to do a deal for Sheffield United fullback Kyle Walker.

The Mirror says Tottenham want to sign Walker - but leave him in the Championship for a year.

Spurs supremo Daniel Levy sees the defender as a signing for the long-term and is happy for him to continue his apprenticeship at the Blades.

Blades do not want to lose Walker, but a sell-and-loan-back arrangement may suit them.
