Tottenham hope Luka Modric will settle down with an improved contract on the table.
The Daily Star Sunday says chairman Daniel Levy, who rejected two previous Chelsea offers, kept his word that Modric was not available and would not be sold at any price.
And now the White Hart Lane supremo is ready to increase Modric's pay by a whopping £30,000 a week.
The midfielder is already on £45k a week and has five years left to run on his current contract.
And even though he would receive more than £75k as a weekly wage at Chelsea, Spurs hope improved terms will make him stay put.
They fear Chelsea will try again for Modric - either in the January transfer window or next summer - which is why they are keen to tie him to a new deal.
