Tottenham hero Kane grateful to Sherwood, Les Ferdinand

Tottenham fans' favourite Harry Kane has paid tribute to the previous management regime.

There were loan spells and injuries and set-backs but Kane was given his extended chance, last season, when Tim Sherwood stepped up from his development role to take the first team with coaches Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey. He started the final six games of the Premier League season, scoring in the first three.

"I've never doubted I could get where I wanted to go," said Kane to the Daily Mail. "It helped scoring in my first three games. Tim, Les and Chris played a big part in my development. Tim showed confidence in me and I used to do lots of shooting drills with Les, finishing crosses from all different angles."
