Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will back new manager Andre Villas-Boas to the hilt in the summer market.
The London Evening Standard says it is believed Levy is prepared to back him strongly in the transfer market and will provide around £80million to purchase new players.
Two deals are already close to being completed with Spurs having agreed an £8m fee with Hoffenheim for midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. The north London club face competition from Liverpool but are expected to win the race for the Iceland international.
Spurs are also still expected to finalise the £9.6m transfer of defender Jan Vertonghen from Ajax, despite some complications over claims he is due a percentage of the fee.
