Tottenham have reportedly made an £18million offer for South Korean star Son Heung-min.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are desperate to sign a new attacker and have now set their sights on Bayer Leverkusen's Son.
23-year-old Son was a late withdrawal from Leverkusen's line-up for Wednesday night's Champions League play-off with Lazio as he reportedly travelled to London to undergo a medical with Tottenham.
The former Hamburg ace, who can be deployed as a winger or second striker, has been on Tottenham's radar for some time and the North Londoners are now moving in with a deal that could rise to £22m.
However, Leverkusen's sporting director Rudi Voller suggests a simple medical does not mean any potential deal is done.
"There is a request and there are talks. But nothing is done. Son would not have played today anyway, he was sick at the weekend already. At this moment he is our player," said Voller on Sky Deutschland.
I saw many medicals in this business where there was no deal afterwards.
"We will try to reach an agreement, but only under our conditions."
