Tottenham are fuming over the FA's choice of West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson as next England coach.
The Sun says Harry Redknapp has long been the fans' favourite to replace axed Fabio Capello as national team manager.
White Hart Lane chiefs were so fearful the clamour for Redknapp would badly affect their chances of a top-four Premier League finish they persuaded other clubs not to discuss the situation until the end of the season.
Now they want to know why the FA did not make their approach to Hodgson several weeks ago when West Brom became mathematically safe from the drop.
