Kyle Walker admits the past 12 months have been his best in the game.
This season, he has accelerated into the bracket of young stars whom Tottenham are fighting to keep at the club.
"It has been an unbelievable season," Walker told the Daily Mail. "I've had a little boy and I've won my first England cap. My aim has always been to establish myself at Tottenham and I've come through this season. I have to say thanks to the gaffer for putting his trust in me and to my team-mates because there's 11 of us on the pitch.
"I have to thank my parents for travelling up and down the country supporting me through thick and thin, especially when I was at Sheffield United, thinking I'd not get a contract, and to my girlfriend who has been a rock since I came to London. I knew no-one and it was just me and her living in a hotel room for three months.
"This season has been a massive learning curve and a great season for Tottenham. We've played some fantastic football. I just want to keep playing here and hopefully win some medals and trophies."
