Tottenham fullback Adam Smith was delighted to make his England U21 debut against Israel.
It was the latest step on the international ladder for the 20-year-old who has now been capped by England at Under-16, 17, 19 and 20 levels.
"I'm absolutely buzzing," Smith, on-loan at MK Dons, told the Spurs website. "I thought I did well for the Under-20s, things are going well at MK and to get called-up and make my debut for the 21s, it was fantastic.
"The first half wasn't the best but luckily myself and Steven Caulker helped the team turn it around on the night and in the end it was a good win.
"Fingers crossed I'll now be involved in the squad for the European qualifiers next month."
