Tottenham fullback Adam Smith was outstanding for England U21 in victory over Sweden.

On-loan at Millwall, Smith was judged by many as man-of-the-match.

"It was difficult with the pitch and the conditions but the gaffer said to go out and play and not make excuses with the pitch, that's what we did," said Smith to ESPN.

"Personally, it was a good game for me to get two assists."
