Internacional striker Leandro Damiao is delaying plans to move to Europe.
Tottenham are set to miss out once again in the race for £15m-rated Damiao, says the Mirror.
Brazilian striker Damiao was a long-term target for ex-White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp.
And Internacional revealed his successor Andre Villas-Boas saw a summer bid rejected.
AVB was poised to renew his interest in January as he looks to bolster his wafer-thin strikeforce.
But Damiao, 23, is in no hurry to leave South America in the transfer window. He said: "I do not feel the need to move away right now. Now is not the time to be thinking about leaving here for Europe or the Premier League."
