Tottenham are facing frustration in their bid for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Daily Mail says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is eyeing a possible loan move for Manchester City outcast Adebayor - but his £170,000-per-week wages are proving a major stumbling block.
City would rather sell him on a permanent deal and are not willing to pay a hefty chunk of his wages while he is on loan at another club.
Redknapp is well aware that he has to start making his own moves in the transfer market if his side are to have any chance of breaking back into the top four next season.
