Tottenham fear being forced to sell Toby Alderweireld over his contract stand-off.
The Daily Mail says the two parties have re-opened discussions with Spurs keen to renegotiate the key defender's contract.
There is no agreement in place yet, but lines of communication between parties remains open.
There are growing concerns that Tottenham could be forced to sell Alderweireld this summer if an agreement isn't reached due to a complex clause in his contract.
Alderweireld's current deal expires in the summer of 2019, but Tottenham do have the option of extending his deal by a further 12 months.
However, triggering it would activate a release clause in Alderweireld's contract allowing him to leave for £25million in the summer transfer window immediately after the clause was activated.
