AS says Spurs remain in pole position to land Eto'o, with chairman Daniel Levy having already given the green light for formal negotiations to open with Barca over a fee for the striker.

Meanwhile, DiarioSport says the boos and whistles Eto'o received from Barca fans during Sunday's defeat by Real Mallorca has convinced him to quit the club in the summer. Some friends have attempted to talk him round, but Eto'o is seriously considering quitting the Nou Camp.
