Tottenham fans keen to offload their Soldado shirts

After Roberto Soldado finalised a move away from Tottenham this summer following two disappointing years fans have been keen to swap his named shirt for another.

Spurs supporters were given the chance to swap a top from the last two seasons with the name of a recently sold player on the back - including Gareth Bale - for this season's new jersey ahead of the club's game against Everton on Saturday.

And after a summer in which Spurs sold several first-team members, the initiative - part of Carling's Shirt Amnesty campaign - proved a hit with about 200 jerseys being given away at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre, reports the London Evening Standard.

Soldado was the most popular shirt handed in by fans while the top four tops to be asked for were those of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, new striker Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli.
