Tottenham must overcome a transfer battle if they're to land Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Daily Star Sunday says Spurs would have to overcome two major obstacles to take ex-Arsenal striker Adebayor back to north London.
The first is the Togo centre-forward's massive £130,000-a-week wages at Manchester City.
And secondly, City may be reluctant to allow one of their players to join one of their main rivals for a Champions League place.
That was the case when Spurs boss Harry Redknapp wanted Craig Bellamy, who is now at Cardiff.
