Tottenham are battling Hannover 96 for Academica Coimbra midfielder Eder.

The 23 year-old is off contract in June and rejected new terms offered by his Portuguese club.

Eder could be sold in January, though can sign a pre-contract and move on a Bosman at the end of this season.

He is interested in Spurs, but has concerns over playing chances, while Hannover can offer a guaranteed first team place.
