Tottenham are eyeing Porto fullback Ricardo Pereira.
The London Evening Standard says Porto are confident Tottenham will pay the £22 million asking price for Pereira if they sell Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
If Walker leaves as expected, Mauricio Pochettino wants another right-back to provide competition for Kieran Trippier.
Pereira, 23, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Nice, and has been capped by Portugal at senior level. He is thought to have been recommended by Tottenham's head scout, Steve Hitchen, who is a specialist in French football.
Pereira can play in either full-back position, though he is stronger on the right side, as well as further forward on the flanks. Spurs are keen to give Trippier a chance to establish himself if Walker goes, but would also like experienced back-up.
