Tottenham are ready to swoop for Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster if he decides he wants to leave Old Trafford.

The 26-year old is bizarrely England's current number one but cannot even make the bench with United and may seek a transfer to pick up regular game time and increase his chances of making Fabio Capello's World Cup squad.

Spurs are reportedly lining up a £6million move for Foster after the serious injuries sustained by Carlo Cudicini in a motorcycle accident and the fact manager Harry Redknapp is keen to put pressure on Heurelho Gomes as the team from White Hart Lane attempt to push for Champions League football.
