Tottenham dug deep to land win over Asteras - Kane

Harry Kane was delighted for Tottenham after helping the club to a narrow 2-1 win over Asteras Tripoli on Thursday night.

Andros Townsend and Kane were on the scoresheet as Spurs netted twice in the first half of their Group C Europa League fixture in Greece and the gritty performance was something that had the elated striker in a buoyant mood.

"These are the games where you have to dig deep and get the result and we managed that," Kane told SpursTV.

Kane's goal, which came in the 42nd minute, was his fourth of the Europa League group stage campaign and sixth in his past five outings in all competitions which prompted the following comments from the 21-year old.

"I'm happy to be doing these interviews because I keep scoring! It was good to get another," he added.

Tottenham moved to top spot in their group with a second-straight European victory which has them on eight points from their four group matches.
