Tottenham are exploring alternatives to on-loan Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Adebayor's massive £170,000-a-week wages is proving a huge obstacle to any permanent deal for Spurs.

Tottenham have sent out the feelers in the last week for their long-term transfer targets, including Olivier Giroud (Montpellier), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Giuseppe Rossi (Villarreal) and Loïc Rémy (Marseille).

If Adebayor does leave, it could mean Spurs chairman Daniel Levy shelling out for two new strikers this summer.
