Tottenham dogged in their pursuit of new striker as Berahino link continues

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says the club are continuing their search for a strike partner for England international Harry Kane.

The Daily Express is reporting West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino is Spurs' number one target, with QPR frontman Charlie Austin believed to be the next cab off the rank.

Pochettino was non-committal when asked to name the players on Tottenham's radar, but made it clear the club was in the market for another striker.

"We have confidence we will bring in some offensive player, but I can't give the name today," Pochettino said.

"Yes, we have more than one target. If you have one and you fail, you are dead.

"But I never speak about another player, or different clubs. I think everybody wants to do their job, and to be focused. I am focusing on my team."
