Tottenham want top price for want-away defender Sebastien Bassong.

The London Evening Standard says Bassong has already made it clear that he wants to leave the club in order to get regular first-team football.

Spurs are willing to take offers for the 24-year-old, but will demand at least £8m, which is what they paid Newcastle for his services in 2009.

Everton and Aston Villa are among clubs monitoring the situation.
