Tottenham want Dimitar Berbatov to make a decision over his future by mid-July.
The Sunday Mirror says Spurs are tiring of the uncertainty, with manager Juande Ramos keen to complete his squad rebuilding plans.
Ramos will want time to sign a successor to Berbatov, 27 - and now Tottenham are ready to act.
Most of the squad report back next month for pre-season and if Berbatov's future is not sorted out by then, Spurs - determined not to be left in limbo - are set to call his bluff and ask him to see out the remaining two years of his contract.
