Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen was cryptic over his running battle with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres last week.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho branded Vertonghen a "disgrace" for getting Torres sent off during the 1-1 draw.
Vertonghen said: "I don't allow people to run over me - I like to play on the edge, especially in the big matches where details make the difference."
His comments seem to back up Mourinho's claims the 26-year-old play-acted to get Torres dismissed. Vertonghen also joked about who had left him with the mark on his face.
Asked if Torres had caused it, he said: "No, that's from Adebayor" - a reference to Emmanuel Adebayor, who has been frozen out by Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas.
