Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld hopes to be fit for their clash with Liverpool.

The London Evening Standard says the Belgian is expected to return to full training next week and is targeting a first-team return at Liverpool on February 4.

The Tottenham defender has not played since damaging his hamstring against Real Madrid on November 1.

He has resumed outdoor training alone and hopes to join the squad after Sunday's match at Southampton.

Harry Winks has been ruled out of the game against Saints and the FA Cup tie with Newport County, a week on Saturday, with an ankle injury.
