Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is on the brink of breaking a Belgium record.
Vertonghen has equalled Belgium's appearance record after winning his 96th cap for his nation on Saturday.
The centre-back, still just 30, started Belgium's World Cup qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo, which was his 96th appearance for the Red Devils - level with Jan Ceulemans, who set the current cap record in 1991.
Vertonghen, who made his debut for Belgium in the 2-1 defeat at home to Portugal in 2007, has the chance to become his nation's most capped player when Roberto Martinez's side host Cyprus on Tuesday.
