Toby Alderweireld was pleased with his return to action in last night's draw with Brighton.
It was the Belgian's first start in over six months for Spurs.
"It was difficult, they defended very well," Alderweireld told the club's website. "We tried to break them down and I think we deserved to win.
"I'm happy I could help the team and I'm very pleased with the 90 minutes."
Multiple reports have suggested the 28-year-old has yet to agree new terms with the north London club. His contract expires at the end of next season and clubs are expected to try and strike a deal with Tottenham this summer.
