Tottenham defeat West Ham in China

Jermain Defoe's second-half strike was enough to secure a 1-0 victory for Tottenham over West Ham at Beijing's Workers Stadium and secure a place in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy. Spurs were well worth their victory as they dominated throughout against a lacklustre Hammers.

They will face either Hull or Beijing Guoan in the final on Friday.

"We played fantastic stuff today, we kept the ball great and made loads of chances," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"You wonder when you can't get one in, is it ever going to come, but eventually Jermain scored so that was good.

"They've shown a good attitude the lads, they've trained last night and this morning and they've come out and it's about keeping the ball under these conditions. If you give the ball away it's a hard job to get it back, it's very tiring and hot out there. We kept possession great today and that's important."
