Peruvian starlet Horacio Benincasa is set to be offered terms by Tottenham after a secret trial.
The Mirror says the 17-year-old left-back flew in to the UK to play in a reserve game and expects to agree terms shortly before officially joining during the winter transfer window.
Benincasa, who plays for Esther Grande de Bentin and was one of the best players at this year's South American U17 Championship, could join for a nominal fee.
Spurs are checking out his background, but hope to ratify that he has a Spanish passport through his family and can join them as soon as possible.
Benincasa, who was scouted by Spurs at the youth tournament in Ecuador in March, is keen to join but has also had talks with German giants Werder Bremen.
