Crocked Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas is leaving Aston Villa with a massive bill.
The Daily Mail says Villa are facing the prospect of forking out more than £1million to Jenas - despite the fact he will miss the rest of the season.
Jenas is on loan from Tottenham and on Wednesday night had surgery to repair a ruptured achilles tendon sustained in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Manchester United.
But under the terms of the loan, Villa are still bound to pay the 28-year-old's £45,000-per-week wages.
Villa are keen to come to an agreement with Tottenham which will not result in them paying in full, and it is understood the clubs will discuss the matter once a rehabilitation programme has been devised for the player.
Villa have already paid in the region of £600,000 in wages to Jenas.
