Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is reportedly on the radar of Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be a fan of the powerful Wanyama, whom he worked with during his previous managerial role at St Mary's.

The Daily Mail is reporting Pochettino is eager to add some defensive steel to his midfield and he believes the 24-year-old Kenyan is the man for the job.

However, Southampton are unlikely to sell Wanyama who has started 47 Premier League matches since arriving from Celtic two years ago.
