Tottenham confirm Man City fixture change

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed they will play Manchester City a day later than their scheduled Premier League fixture.

Due to problems with their new stadium - believed to be the fire and safety alarms - Spurs have had to move matches against Liverpool on September 15 and Cardiff on October 6 to Wembley.

They attempted to do the same with the game against City, originally scheduled for October 28, but an NFL match is taking place at the national stadium on that day. Instead, the match will now be played on October 29 at Wembley.

It read: "We should like to apologise to both our and Manchester City fans for this fixture having to be moved to a weekday evening and any inconvenience caused.

"Despite the possibility that our new stadium could be ready to host this match, this would not be known until much closer to the date of the game. We have therefore agreed with the Premier League that, in the interests of clarity and certainty, we shall confirm this game as taking place at this time at Wembley Stadium so that fans of both teams can now make travel arrangements accordingly."
