Tottenham confident signing Marseille striker Loic Remy

Tottenham remain confident signing Marseille striker Loic Remy, despite missing out on Champions League qualification.

The Daily Mail says the £22million-rated striker rebuffed Spurs' interest in January and insisted he would wait to discover whether the club would be playing in the European Cup before deciding whether to move to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham remain confident of agreeing a fee with his club but are waiting to see if Remy still wants to join after Tottenham, who finished fourth in the Premier League, were denied a Champions League place by Chelsea being crowned European champions.
