Tottenham are confident of signing Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck today.
The Mirror says Welbeck favours moving to White Hart Lane.
It is believed that Welbeck's representatives have also spoken to Arsenal as well as interested clubs from abroad, including German club Schalke, but the player wants to stay in the Premier League.
Tottenham's other chief striking target, QPR's French hitman Loic Remy, has signed for Chelsea leaving Welbeck - who wants consistent game time - as the clear option for Spurs on deadline day.
