Tottenham are closing in on Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool and Everton have joined the race to sign Sissoko - but Tottenham Hotspur remain favourites to move for the 19-year-old.

Spurs scouts watched the France Under 21 international last week but the Ligue 1 club say they have yet to formally receive a bid.

The 19-year-old is highly rated and has been watched extensively over the past year. He is 6ft 1ins tall, athletic, with a box to box style and has been compared to Real Madrid's former Lyon star Mahamadou Diarra.
