Tottenham are lining up a shock move for Bayern Munich veteran Miroslav Klose. The Daily Mail says Tottenham have made their interest known and are confident of winning the race to sign him.

With Robbie Keane expected to leave, and doubts over the futures of other strikers at White Hart Lane, manager Harry Redknapp is on the lookout for two new faces up front and has earmarked Klose as one of them.

Klose moved to within seven goals of Gerd Muller's all-time Germany record of 68, with a double against Kazahkstan at the weekend, but has been overlooked in favour of Mario Gomes in a one-man Bayern strike force.
