Tottenham have completed the signing of Jan Vertonghen after he passed his medical this morning.

The 25-year-old, who captained the Amsterdam club, agreed terms with Spurs at the weekend and has now completed the formalities.

Tottenham confirmed the news on their official Twitter feed, writing: "We are delighted to announce that @Jan_Vertonghen has completed his transfer from Ajax after passing his medical."
