Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood is backing Danny Rose and Kyle Walker to shine for England at the U21 Euros.
The pair could start in today's opener against Spain.
"Danny will benefit from the games he had at the end of the season, when he got himself into the team at left-back," Sherwood told the club's website
"I remember sitting next to Stuart Pearce at one of those games and he liked him at left-back.
"He's a real talent and played well at the end of the season. He had success in that role and now he's the automatic cover for Benoit. He's got a real opportunity to play.
"Kyle is a quality right-back and will come back next season to challenge for a place in the team.
"I can't see too many better right-backs in the country at the moment than Kyle, especially if you are looking to push full-backs on. That's the modern way to play.
"Obviously I'm a little biased, but I think they should both be in the team."
