Tottenham coach Joe Jordan feels manager Harry Redknapp has to be in the frame for the England job.

Jordan believes the 64-year-old's recent track record means he should be among those considered.

He told BBC Radio Five Live: "It would be nice for the nation to have English candidates for the job.

"Fabio Capello is a top manager but I would like to think a nation like England would have a number of people who could be looked upon for the job.

"You've got to look at people who are having good time in their career - and it's all about timing as well."
